Mykonos in Haselunne

08/24/2020 The Mykonos was not well attended that evening, because only one table in the entrance area was occupied by two people. Due to the confusing and overloaded menu, we initially opted for the starter platter for 2 people (€ 25.00) and a salad with feta, pepperoni and olives (€ 7.00), plus a white wine and lemonade. The salad came out pretty quickly. The feta (sheep's cheese) consisted of cow's milk ("shepherd's cheese" or "Balkan cheese" consists of cow's milk, it has nothing to do with sheep) and was obviously cut very thinly with the razor blade. Fortunately, the chef can't go wrong with peppers and olives, because they are either tasty or not. The dry white wine "Anthos" was extremely tasty (Anthos is a dry, light white wine from Northern Greece. It is far from Mykonos, which is known to be part of the Cyclades archipelago in the Aegean Sea). In spite of this, the landlord has shown a lucky hand or received good advice. The wine was great. The food came and the taste disaster took its course. I thought about it for a moment and came to the conclusion that I've only eaten worse once in my life. That was on the way to Greece in 1979 in Ivangrad (Montenegro), shortly after the earthquake on the coast destroyed many villages with a maximum intensity of IX on the Mercalli scale. It was fried giblets from the old sheep and the frying fat rancid. Back to the "Mykonos" restaurant. The Greek starter platter for 2 people consisted of fried cruelties that would have made Ms. Bo Frost or Mr. Ice Mann red angry, an inedible, indefinable mush on a sad salad bouquet, carelessly executed and sad to look at. It "tasted" like "breadcrumbs without anything". And it was too cold, which made matters worse. Further orders were thus off the table. Since my son does not like the Greek aniseed spirit ouzo, I also approved of his welcoming souzo and the farewell souzo, which was not good for my mood. After half a glass of white wine, it was on the brink of whether we should pay a friendly visit to the kitchen, because meanwhile we were bad-tempered and really hungry. The two tiny, dried up "Greek rolls" didn't help either. The evening was messed up and we were hungrier than before. And that was a shame, because we were very often in Greece, not only on the southern islands of the Aegean Sea, but also far in the north to the island of Thasos and on the mainland. Has the chef at "Mykonos" ever been to Greece? And in order to make the overall bad impression completely, the landlord made a dismissive gesture in our direction when we said goodbye, and that only because I answered the waitress when she asked if it would have tasted good: "No, throw it take a look at this deep-fried misery ". Only the cook hung his head as we passed "his table", because meanwhile nothing was going on in this hospitable place. There are exactly two options for a chef to organize his working hours, namely meaningful or meaningless! Katalaves? Never again!

Recommendation. Nice and friendly staff. Very good service and, above all, very tasty food. The ouzo tastes good too;)

The food was great. Everything arrived as ordered and drinks were quickly provided. Again and again. It was really great.

Great tasty food friendly service and good price

Never again ... grilled peppers simply poured remoulade instead of garlic sauce. Opened water bottle brought, probably adulterated with tap water. Ordered various vegetables gratinated with sheep's cheese, they brought peppers with hot sauce, without sheep's cheese, without broccoli .. Saving with minced meat at Bifteki .. didn't taste good at all. Giros was really bad too. Find a real cook.

The staff extremely friendly! Unfortunately the gyros plate had turned quite black, it was exchanged immediately without any problems, but in my opinion it shouldn't have even been on the table!

We liked it very much and we ate very tasty too. It was flavorful. As always, the service is very good, even in times of Coron. We look forward to the next visit

If you go there a little later on Saturday evenings, it is even possible to get one of the coveted outdoor seats. Highly frequented restaurant. Seat reservation is mandatory. Interior a bit old; Outside area top. The fact that something slips through with an order can be judged rather relaxed after an advanced hour. Ordered a 0.5 liter Naousa plus ouzo. But only got 0.25 liters and the ouzo was nil. Apparently you don't want to earn anything here. For the feta starter, onions were ordered instead of olives. All of the food was unseasoned. Farmer's skewer declared in the menu. From experience, however, onions and peppers are part of it. In my opinion, this was a very common Souflaki skewer. Therefore only four stars. The meat was tender and juicy and the fries and rice of the best quality.

Delicious. Tzatziki excellent! Nice with garlic, very tasty. The coleslaw did NOT come out of the can. You can really recommend it. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality and taste were worth it! We also had to wait a little longer. But it was also busy on Saturday. I really can't fault the quality and taste of food !! I would eat there again!

Always friendly service and delicious food in a rustic atmosphere. Depending on the number of guests, the preparation of the dishes sometimes takes longer and sometimes less. We remain regular guests😉

Food is good, prices as stated in the menu are all without VAT. So beware of a 19% markup on your total bill. Shame a good restaurant reverts to practices like this.
